Processing of your personal data This document describes how Rapid Granulator Aktiebolag, Reg. No. 556082-8674, Box 9, SE-330 10 Bredaryd, Sweden (the ”Company” or “we”) collects, uses and processes Personal Data (“Privacy Policy”). The Company is a world-leading company in the development and production of granulation equipment as well as solutions for an efficient handling of polymeric materials, in particular in relation to the industry of plastic manufacturing. 

The Privacy Policy is applicable when you use our service “Rapid Connect” or “Rapid Service Center”, when you make a purchase or order from us, make contact and/or visit our ”Website” (https://www.rapidgranulator.com/). The Privacy Policy also describes how we process personal data about our partners, e.g., our agents or distributors. The Company is the data controller of the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy explains and clarifies your rights in relation to the Company regarding the processing of your personal data and how you can exercise those rights. 

Some pages on our Website contain links to third party websites. These websites have their own privacy policies and the Company is not responsible for their operations or their information policies. Any user who sends information to or through these third party websites should hence review the privacy policies posted on those websites before any personal data are transferred to them.

What personal data do we process? 

If you use Rapid Connect 

This section describes how the Company process personal data when you use our service “Rapid Connect” and register for an account at the Rapid Connect platform. By doing so the Company will process the following personal data: 

  • Username (your e-mail address) 
  • Password 

Unless you provide us with the account information above, we are unable to set up an account for the Rapid Connect platform for you. You will not be able to use Rapid Connect without such an account. 

We will process this data for the purpose of setting up and administrate your account. By agreeing to the Terms of Use in order to use Rapid Connect, you enter into an agreement with us under which we shall provide Rapid Connect, including the Rapid Connect platform. The processing of this personal data is based on our fulfilment of this agreement. 

Upon termination of your account, the personal data relating to you will be erased after three months. 

If you use Rapid Service Center 

This section describes how the Company process personal data when you use and register for an account at “Rapid Service Center”, accessible via our Webpage. When you register for an account to access Rapid Service Center, will process the following personal data: 

  • Name 
  • Contact information including address, mobile number and e-mail address 
  • Company name 
  • Username 
  • Password 

Unless you provide us with the information above, we are unable to set up an account, meaning that we cannot give you access to the Rapid Service Center. 

We will process this data for the purpose of setting up and administrate your account and to provide the Rapid Service Center to you, as well as administrate the warranty commitment offered through the Rapid Service Center. The processing of this data is based on the agreement with you under which we provide the Rapid Service Center and the relevant warranty commitment. 

Your personal data are saved until you cancel your account, but no later than (3) three years after your last contact with the Company. This does not apply if we need to save your personal data for a longer period to fulfil our obligations to you or legal obligations. 

If you make a purchase or order from us 

If you make a purchase or order from us, we will process the following personal data: 

  • Name 
  • Contact information including address, mobile number and e-mail address; 
  • Delivery and billing information, payment information and other information that you provide in connection with the purchase or delivery of a product or service; 

We process the personal data above for the purpose of managing your purchase or order, including delivery, payment, as well as for administration of warranties in accordance with applicable warranty commitments and the services (inter alia customer support). The processing of this personal data is based on our fulfilment of the purchase agreement with you. If the purchase agreement is entered into with your employer, the processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest of in being able to fulfil obligations under agreements with our customers. 

Personal data which are submitted to the Company in connection with the order of products and/or services are stored for as long as necessary in order for the Company’s performance of the agreement with you. This includes, inter alia, fulfilling delivery or warranty commitments. 

If you are a partner to the Company 

If you are a partner to the Company, e.g., an agent or a distributor, we process the following personal data for the purpose of administer and fulfil the obligations under the relevant partner agreements: 

  • Name 
  • Contact information including address, mobile number and e-mail address 
  • Title, role and/or other personal data in documentation related to the relevant partner agreement 

If you have an account at our sales portal for our partners, we will process your username and password at the sales portal, in addition the data listed above. We process this personal data for the purpose of setting up and administer your account at the sales portal. 

The processing of personal data, described in this section, is based on the fulfilment of the relevant partner agreement. If the partner agreement is entered into with your employer, the processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest of in being able to fulfil obligations under agreements with our partners. 

Personal data which are submitted to the Company in connection with a partner agreement are stored for as long as necessary in order for the Company’s performance of the relevant agreement. Notwithstanding, the personal data related to your account at our sales portal, are saved until you cancel your account, but no later than three (3) years after your last contact with the Company. This does not apply if we need to save your personal data for a longer period to fulfil our obligations to you or legal obligations. 

If you contact us 

If you contact is us by email, telephone or by using our contact forms we will process the personal data you provide to us for the purpose of response to your contact request. This processing is based on our legitimate interest to be able to communicate with potential customers or others that are interested to reach out to us. 

Direct marketing 

We may use the contact information that you have provided to us, e.g., when making a purchase or an order from us, to contact you for the purpose of market our products and services. Depending on the legislation in your country, the processing of personal data for the purpose of direct marketing will be based either on our legitimate interest in marketing our business or your consent. 

We may process your personal data for direct marketing purposes for three years after the customer relationship has ended, but you are always entitled to opt-out, at any time, of receiving any marketing communications we send you. If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, where needed to comply with the legislation in your country, you may also withdraw your consent at any time, and we will no longer process your personal data for this purpose. 

Additional purposes In addition to the processing of your personal data as described above, the Company 

may use your personal data for other purposes, based on other legal grounds, as set out below. 

  • Compliance with a legal obligation: We save invoice documentation in accordance with applicable accounting laws and regulations as well as information concerning the manufacturing and sales of machinery and equipment in accordance with applicable regulations on product safety. 
  • Legitimate interest: In order to be able to provide, carry out and improve our commitments, products and services, it is necessary for us to process personal data. 

How do we collect your personal data? 

  • In addition to the personal data you provide to us yourself, e.g. by filling out a registration form, we also collect personal data from the following sources:Cookies (see further information on how we use cookies below); 
  • and/or from third parties in the form of group companies. 

Retention of personal data The Company takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data are processed and stored securely. Your personal data will never be stored longer than permitted by applicable law or longer than necessary to fulfil the above stated purposes. In addition to the retention periods described above, your personal data will be processed by us during the following time periods. 

  • Legal obligation: The Company saves any documentation that constitutes accounting information in accordance with applicable accounting legislation. 
  • Consent: In cases where we process your personal data based on your consent, we will only save your personal data for as long as we still have your consent. 

Disclosure of personal data Personal data regarding our customers are an important part of the Company’s operations and we do not sell the personal data to anyone else. We only disclose personal data as described below. 

  • Partners outside the group of companies that the Company belongs to: Our partners, i.e. companies outside the group of companies that the Company belongs to and which are approved by the Company, may get access to your personal data for the purpose of giving you access to targeted information and offers about products and services. 
  • Business transactions: If all or part of the Company’s operations are sold or integrated with any other business, operation or company, your personal data may be disclosed to our advisors, potential buyers and their advisors, and be transferred to the new owners of the operation. 
  • Service providers: your personal data may be shared with our service providers, which can be categorised as hosting providers, platform providers (for Rapid Connect platform). 
  • Legal obligations: Your personal data may also be disclosed for the purpose of the Company’s compliance with certain legal obligations and it may be transferred to the Police and other relevant public authorities when permitted and required by law. 

The type of disclosures mentioned above may only be carried out to companies within the EU or EEA (i.e. all EU member states and Iceland, Norway and Lichtenstein). We do not process any personal data outside the EU and EEA. 

Withdrawal of consent In the event that we process your personal data based on your consent you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting customer service as stated below. Such withdrawal may be made in whole or in part. If you do not wish to receive marketing and special offers from us you may withdraw your consent by contacting customer service. 

If you withdraw your consent with respect to the use or disclosure of your personal data for other purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. 

Your rights You have the right to request information about the categories of personal data concerning you that we are processing and how they are being used by contacting us in writing using the contact details below, or by contacting customer service. You are also entitled to request correction of incorrect, incomplete or ambiguous personal data concerning you by contacting customer service. For the protection of your privacy and your personal data, we may require that you identify yourself in connection with our assistance. 

In accordance with applicable data protection laws, you also have the right to request that your personal data be erased or that the processing of your personal data be restricted. In certain situations you also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and request that your personal data be transmitted in an electronic format. 

You may file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Sw. Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY)) if you believe that the Company’s processing of your personal data is not carried out in accordance with applicable laws. 

Cookies The Company uses so-called cookies on our Website. A cookie is a small text file sent from a website to your web browser. 

Cookies are usually categorised based on their origin and based on whether they are stored in your web browser or not. Cookies can either be sent to you from the website you visit (i.e. first-party cookie) or from another organisation that delivers services to the current website, such as an analytical and statistical company (i.e. third-party cookies). Cookies can also be divided into session cookies and permanent cookies. Profiling The Company does not perform profiling or any other automatic processing based on your personal data. 

Changes to the privacy policy Please note that the terms of the privacy policy may be changed or amended. Any new version will be published on the Company’s website. Consequently, you should review these terms on a regular basis to make sure that you are satisfied with the changes. 

In case of any material changes, we will clarify which changes have been made and keep older versions of the privacy policy archived on the website.
